Image workflow – getting images from photographers to customers - is the lifeblood of any photo agency. Just as it can help you maximise profits if done efficiently, so it can bleed your profits away if done poorly.

The first step is for us to find out what problems you have, and how we can help, if we can. We’ll explore with you what you need, and what you don’t. If, at the end of that process, we can’t add value to you business then we’ll be the first to let you know – but at least you’ll have an appreciation of your systems and whether you need to seek help elsewhere.

Taking care of (photo) business

As well as keywording and captioning your images, we can integrate the process of receiving images from photographers or other image sources, promoting the images, basic retouching and sending them out to branch offices, clients or sub-agents. We can even edit sets for you if you require.

Out of hours coverage

Even if this service is not required during business hours, we may well be able to provide you with a night photo desk in the hours when your main business is non-operational.

Improved information flow

Keeping everyone informed about what images are going where and when is vital in any business, large or small. We can put together a system for keeping your photographers and other staff informed about transmissions, archiving and so on. Or we can plug into and improve your existing processes.

Getting the names right

Unique filenames for your images are the basic building blocks of a working database of images. In consultation with you we can produce a naming convention which will make your images fit into any database with ease. We'll also take care of renaming the images in accordance with that convention.

Saving money with volume-based charging

Unlike in-house or out-of-hours services, which necessitate employing permanent staff, no matter the volume of images coming in or going out, our photo desk service is based around the volume of work performed. Exact pricing depends on the process itself, but you won't be charged for people sitting around waiting for the next job to come in.
